Responsibility doesn't always come with a positive connotation, however, I've come to discover it is a great asset to leadership.
Responsibility is more than checking a box or clearing your email. Responsibility is placing value on the people you lead. The truth is, that what you believe affects not only you but the people around you. And much of your belief is shaped by what you do and don't feel responsible for.
As a leader, not everything may be my job, but it is my responsibility. You are a leader. A person of influence. Wherever you're placed today remember this — you're the right person. Lean in, dig deep, and lead with responsibility.
