Leadership has eyes to see what others don't and faith to step when others won't. Strong leaders are willing to put their foot down in new territory, bringing others with them into unknown places.
New levels will require us to give more of ourselves, our time, and our resources — we can't go into the next place carrying the burdens of this one. There are some things we have to lay down before we can take a step of faith and plant our feet firmly on new ground. You might have to put your plans down. Your fear, your pride, your preferences. As I've walked along my leadership journey, I've discovered that what I've gained is far greater than anything I've had to lay down.
Let me encourage you — where you are going is greater than where you are now! It's okay to lead others into places you've never been before. Rally your teams, take the step, and watch as God does more than you ever thought possible.
