Throughout scripture we see men and women of God leaving landmarks for their faith, Ebenezer stones to remember God’s goodness at work. As we reflect on 2022 we lay a stone of gratitude. We’ve seen God’s faithfulness at work in our community and beyond. Day by day, moment by moment, he’s guided and provided. We can’t let this moment pass without pausing to reflect. Our reflection leads us to eager expectation for what’s to come. God’s consistent character is a faithful reminder that the best is truly yet to come!
Emotionally healthy individuals have gratitude for the past and excitement for the future
Reflection is key to remembrance. Pausing to reflect brings gratitude to our lives and fuel for our future. Reflection can bring up emotions of sadness and joy. For some, 2022 was a difficult year. Thank you Jesus, for seeing us through. We can rejoice in the mountaintops, and thank God for his continued provision in the valleys.
How you start something is just as important as how you finish. As we kick off a new year it’s a great time to pause and plan. We’re entering 2023 with purpose and vision. A new year brings a new opportunity to reset.
God’s presence and provision continue to mark this miracle in motion. While we have a lot to celebrate, we can’t help but think we’re just getting started. Our best days are ahead of us, as we stay faithful, fix our eyes on Jesus, and continue to trust him along the way.
Take time this week to rest and reset. Write down goals you have for the new year. Share these goals with a trusted friend to keep you accountable.
