2018 made us a bit stronger, a little wiser and much more faith-filled. So for that, we say thanks!  Thanks to all who helped make 2018 special. We couldn't make it this far without our VOUS family - servant leaders, guests, partners, speakers, and friends. It was the sacrifice of many who helped build this house. We don't want to forget all of the inspiring events and words shared this past year. Let's take a moment to reflect and be grateful for all God has done. Here are a few highlights that we'll carry with us into 2019 as precious memories.

1. Wyatt Wesley Wilkerson

We celebrated the miracle in motion along with our pastors, the birth of baby Wyatt Wesley Wilkerson!

2. One Church, Two Locations

Our second location at iTech launched, making space for more people to attend Sunday services. A total of 5 services between our JDD and iTech locations.

3. VOUS Worship EP

Our worship team gathered to write 5 original songs for VOUS Worship’s first EP called “So God Came to Us,” released just in time of VOUS Conf. It's already been heard around the world.

4. VOUS Conference: So God Came To Us

Bittersweet, it was our last time holding VOUS Conference at The Fillmore Miami Beach, but we had such amazing sessions and breakouts that the entire experience was unforgettable. On to 2019’s VOUS Conference at Watsco Center!

5. World Cup Week

We’re always looking for opportunities to create community, and celebrating the World Cup was the perfect cultural moment to do just that—so we made a week of it at church! People wore jerseys to rep their favorite teams.

6. 3rd Year Anniversary + VOUS Church Day

It was truly a happy birthday at VOUS, we partied with a purpose on the 3rd anniversary of our church's official launch. We even got our own VOUS Church Day, a proclamation by City of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez.

7. Translations

Our newly created Translations Team offered Spanish language assistance at iTech 10 AM and 12:15 PM services. In 2019, we'll have Spanish translation available at all iTech services so we can continue to better serve our city!

8. Collections of Talks

God Dream, Love that Lasts, Friend of Sinners, VOUS Values, Book of Romans, Love Lies, and who could forget the Are You Ok? and Worth Dying For collection of talks. Plus,  all the VOUS Girl talks. The messages shared by our pastors emboldened us to be a more vibrant and Christlike community.

9. VOUS Care

An expansion of VOUS Care meant more resources and support for people in the daily walk. Class offerings included Free to Grow, Financial Peace University, SYMBIS premarital counseling, and Celebrate Recovery.

10. VOUS Crews

We grew to over 100 Crews that met throughout South Florida, with locations as far north as Boca Raton and south Kendall, out east in Miami Beach and west to Doral.

11. Guest Speakers + Artists

We heard from some of the current champions of our faith and were encouraged by guests such as Brian Houston, Earl McClellan, Erwin McManus, John Gray, Brooke Ligertwood, Lecrae, Dominique Jones, Aodhán King, Micahn Carter, Mike Todd, and Sadie Robertson.

12. Generosity + The Stand Firm Offering

Serving our city well means partnering with organizations that make a vital part of our community. In just one week this year, we donated $200,000 to 40 such organizations. In the same spirit of generosity, so many people said yes to the vision for the upcoming year, donating over $500,000 toward the Stand Firm Offering.

So many wonderful things happened in 2018 it'll take an entire year to recount them all ;) Here’s looking forward to 2019! Our beginnings may have been small, but we don't despise them. God is setting us up for something great. Thanks for sharing the memories with us and joining us on the journey. The Best is Yet to Come!
