“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:7-8 NIV

God's provision. What a tough subject for many Christians. If you walked into 10 different churches, you would likely find 10 different views on what God's provision looks like and how we should pray for it. Like me, you may have a hard time knowing where to start in asking God to provide for you and your loved ones. Do I ask him for money? Does he care about my finances? In what other areas does he provide?

Here at VOUS Church, we believe that God blesses us abundantly. We believe that wherever we go and no matter what God has called us to, he will provide everything we need so that in all things at all times, having all that we need, we will abound in every good work.

This blessing isn't just tied to our bank accounts. First and foremost, God blesses us spiritually. Through Christ we have eternal life and get to walk in freedom with him daily. This is the greatest blessing. Before we think of all that we need, let's be grateful for God's abundant generosity. Through God's faithful provision, we can now walk out his perfect will for our lives. As we follow him, God will provide every dollar, every friend, and every leader we need.

Because of God's abundant generosity, we consider generosity to be a privilege for us. We believe in giving to his house freely since we have been so richly blessed. We don't give for a blessing, but from a blessing. Whether I feel that I am doing well financially or not, I believe it is vital that I give to God so that he knows where I am placing my trust.

As we pray today, let’s have hearts of gratitude and ask that God will bring his abundant provision to our city, our church, and into our lives so that we may walk out His perfect will and he may change this world through us.
