Pray First

We are not meant to do life by ourselves, we need community and people who we can walk alongside with.

“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” - Hebrews 10:24-25

God encourages us not only to have a deep intimate relationship with him, but also to have one with other people in our lives. That’s why we need friends and family; a community who can be there when we are going through difficult times and whom we can also share our greatest moments with.

The bible also tells us that we are meant to carry each other’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). We can open our hearts and share our worries, our pain and our struggles with people who can comfort us, love us, and guide us back to Jesus every time.

If you don’t have a community like this in your life, I strongly encourage you to join a crew, you will not only meet wonderful new people, but they can also become your family in Christ and your lifelong friends! They will walk right beside you and help you strengthen your relationship with God.

Today I want to invite you to do this prayer, even if you don’t have a crew yet, as a symbol of faith and trust in what is about to come into your life.

Thank you Jesus for the amazing community that you’ve placed around me, thank you for allowing me to be part of something so powerful and beautiful. Help me to be able to open up my heart and trust them and have the discernment in receiving their words and advice. Show me how to be a good friend and help others find their way to Jesus. In your name I pray. Amen.
